April Lately

Taylor and I finally got to hike the Living Room in the Red Butte mountains.
We brought Tannin along for the hike.
Making sure mom isn't looking so she can eat some rocks on the ground!
"Hey, mom!  Look at all these rocks I can eat!  Don't they look delicious?!?"
Doofus.
"Hurry up you slow pokes!"

Made it to the Living Room!

Tannin on a cairn looking epic (because she is).
Lizard's point of view.
Eating Subway for dinner at the top.  Don't worry, Tannin got some lettuce.
And then we made our way back down...heroically, of course.
This Saturday we had so much fun helping out at Rocky Mountain MS Clinic's booth for the SLC MS Walk.

Some of my coworkers.
 Even Tannin was representin'.

And of course, we always love trying new recipes!

This lemon chicken was so creamy!  And filling!

We also re-created the Indian dish Chicken Tiki Masala that we got with Parker and Lorien a couple weeks ago.
All the crazy spices we had to find to re-create it!
This is our new favorite meal, btw.
And we also love to make ratatouille with various vegetables we have lying around.

Taylor also had to make a vine for his Women's Health class.
He chose to portray how violence against women is too prevalent.

Spring is here! (For the most part)

Spring finally came, so we took Tannin out for an outdoor playtime.

I love her little tongue!
She's not use to seeing so many people so she kept hiding in our legs or armpits.  Haha!

This photo of our dinner is hilarious because you definitely can't say we don't eat enough vegetables!
Zoodles, lima beans, tomato sauce with beef, peppers, and chunk tomatoes!

We had fun celebrating Michelle's 50th Birthday the first weekend of April!
I had all the kids put in 50 little memories they love about her into a silver box as her gift from all us.
I also had fun making a healthy carrot cake for her birthday cake.

Notice the sparkly candles!
The theme was black with lots of sparkles!

Tannin was happy to be a part of the family photo.
Michelle opening her silver box.
After the BBQ and presents we went on a hike nearby at Red Butte Mountain.

I've also had fun coloring in these adult coloring books Lorien gave me!

And I thought all these superheroes the scouts made were really funny.
From left to right: Nose Scout; Laser Man; Gassy Antelope Thing; Tree Boy; and Jet Kitty!
These superhero and villains will be featured in the upcoming hit movie: Trees Don't Like Nosy Boys, in which super-villain Nose Boy breaks the Scout Oath, and is unreliable, treacherous, unhelpful, hostile, rude, mean, disobedient, unhappy, lavish, cowardly, messy, and irreverent. Superhero Tree boy, by the power of Mother Nature, teaches him a lesson.

My Dad and Mom had a sleepover Wednesday night after they packed up all their furnishings from their South Jordan house.

Mom living Tay's dream of sleeping in the gym.

And this weekend started with me smacking my leg really hard against a corner at work.

Friday night after work I hobbled to the SugarHouse Lake with Taylor to feed the ducks and geese.

Saturday afternoon we went to Batman VS Superman with Parker and Lorien.
I wonder if Taylor was excited to see the movie...

My cuddle buddy for the movie in our recliner seats!
Tay made sure the capes are laid flat for everyone to see his loyalty.

After the movie we went to a yummy Indian restaurant (Bombay House) and then Parker and Lorien came over to play games.
