Honeymoon in Zion's National Park part 1

Monday August 12th started our Honeymoon to Zion's National Park that we planned back in December.
Sunday I had to work at Pioneer, which was one of my last days because I put in my 2 weeks notice Monday morning before we left.  I will start work at the MS clinic by LDS Hospital later.

We celebrated arriving at Zion's by going out to eat dinner

We also enjoyed walking around and seeing the small town outside of Zion's where we stayed

Right outside the B&B where we stayed.  You can see this view from our room.
Walking around town

And Taylor found a baby lizard we almost stepped on

Our room at the bed and breakfast
We watched the meteor shower outside on the lawn at 2 am after we stayed up watching Chicken Run
And then we went to bed after eating some of our left over wedding cake

August 3rd-6th

We began August still feeling sick but with Taylor trying to prove to his mom he knew how to play "Cups"

I have video proof for our children that Grandma Drake beat Daddy by a landslide....sorry Taylor

And I'll add this one because I think Taylor realizes at the end of this video he is beat....

We had fun making a new recipe ratatouille

And we spent a night in relaxing and giving each other a massage while wearing mud masks

The next day we went to Tracy Aviary
Taylor and the peacock.  It was like our high school band trip to the CA zoo all over again with the peacock roaming right next to us

Scary-looking vulture who apparently has a nice personality

And of course....flamingos

The next day for work, Taylor drew one of the owls we saw on my sandwich

Last week of July

We spent the last week of July as invalids who occasionally had to go to work and then got sicker.  But we got some nice presents
Flowers from my parents
Love note from Taylor while he studied for his finals
We were also able to get some nice things for our apartment like a washing machine, piano, and elliptical machine.
