Early Thanksgiving with Carlie

The finished fondant cake!  I probably ate half of it by myself because it was so good!  And I was excited Carlie and my grandparents got to see it and try it too!  Our theme was fall time and since it was snowing all that week, we made a snowman!

Carlie, Mom and I had so much fun baking and cooking to get ready for our early Thanksgiving feast.
Me, Mom, Carlie
Baking time!

And the whole week it was so snowy and cold!
View from our front windows of the mountains
There was a rather hilarious moment in the kitchen when we realized Taylor should not cook and only be allowed to clean dishes because he broke an egg all over the kitchen trying to show us one of his missionary tricks.  The egg got on my whole arm, the counters, the floor, and all over Taylor's shirt and face.  The rest of the night he spent in one of my Dad's shirts, haha.

Family Dinner!

After the feast we gathered round the piano and sang songs.
Dad and Taylor had fun singing tons of old songs.  It was hilarious.
This picture is hilarious because of my pose.  "Oh, Taylor!  Always serenade me!"

Gum Paste Snowman

I am in the process of making my first fondant cake with Taylor and the help of Taylor's mom who makes them for weddings and parties.
Cake batter made and cooked, filling spread, icing applied and smoothed with a paper towel, gum paste molded. Fondant yet to be applied!
The making of leaves with gum paste.  No I am not a professional grade photographer so my thumb in in the picture.
Our cute gum paste snowman complete with a gum paste carrot nose!
This past week I've:
Received an engraved rock from our trip to the quarry
What do good boyfriends do?  They engrave rocks for you that they stole from the location of the last date.  Cute.  He got a kiss #withgiggles
 Went to Gilgal Garden

All the rocks carved by one man

Funny foot pose!
Lantern flower! Reminds me of Taiwan

There were nice sayings carved into all the foot stones

Visited the LDS Visiting Center where the Christus is

Had to partake of this bad boy a couple times (mostly because my boy takes my breath away <--haha)

 Orientation for my new job!

Hexa-flexa-gon note

Long phone calls like back in the old days.  Yes, I had to plug my phone in, otherwise it would've died, since apparently, Taylor's and my conversations never seem to die....They just go on and on and on. :)

Playing basketball in the garage with Will and Pax

Just Dance! Sav and Ella getting their groove on!
Then all the kids saw Sav and Ella having so much fun they decided to join in.  (You should hear JD sing and dance along...it's adorable, especially since he makes up his own lyrics.)
Will, Eliza, JD-backwards, Ella, Sav, Pax
Pax and Will duking it out (notice the JD intensity stare on the ipad haha)

Wheeler Farm visit!

All the goats and sheep loved us.  (A rooster loved me so much it tried to attack Taylor.)

Look at all the geese and ducks that we danced in the middle of!

Dancing to music on my iphone!  I feel like my smile is super cheesy but only because I swear one duck was trying to nibble my fingers and I was preoccupied with that.

 Cooking veggie burgers!

Yum! Taylor added popcorn as well as corn as a side.  Sometimes I don't know what boys are thinking.

 And such sweet nice notes
Hexa-hexa-flexa-gon note.  6 sides, all different, all changing!  Still need to find the 6th side....

And the quarry!

You can see where the pioneers cut into the granite
Granite!
Yes I slid into the water

Meteor Shower and Moonrise

And now, some more about babysitting...

Hanging contests!  I won the hanging-by-the-knees contest! Sav won against all the boys!
JD, Pax, Sav, Will
Sweet little JD
 And bike rides!

And sponge dinosaur growing capsules!

Ah, such fascination for the kiddies and Ah, such sweet respite from noise for the babysitter
Until...balloon sword fighting!

And I taught Savannah how to make balloon dogs!  She made the tail of hers poofy at the end like a poodle!

And some cool news:  I SAW TWO METEORS!  They were huge and bright!  It was sooo cool!  Taylor and I were walking behind my house Sunday night by the ditch.  We had sat down on a wooden bridge, he was playing the yukelele, we looked up and WOAH!  Super awesome.
We also saw a cool moon rise the next night on our walk.
Over the mountains!
Halloween day, Mom and I went around getting stuff to give to some friends and people at the hospital in Murray.  My Mom is basically Mother Theresa.  I had to restrain her from giving them the shirt off her back. Nudity at a hospital it not looked on kindly, my dear Momma-san Theresa.
Outside the hospital with our bags of goods
Halloween night Taylor and I went to a U of U Institute dance party!
I think this picture is great, however, Momma-san Theresa took it and therefore it is also blurry
The nurse and the surgeon!
