Early Thanksgiving with Carlie

The finished fondant cake!  I probably ate half of it by myself because it was so good!  And I was excited Carlie and my grandparents got to see it and try it too!  Our theme was fall time and since it was snowing all that week, we made a snowman!

Carlie, Mom and I had so much fun baking and cooking to get ready for our early Thanksgiving feast.
Me, Mom, Carlie
Baking time!

And the whole week it was so snowy and cold!
View from our front windows of the mountains
There was a rather hilarious moment in the kitchen when we realized Taylor should not cook and only be allowed to clean dishes because he broke an egg all over the kitchen trying to show us one of his missionary tricks.  The egg got on my whole arm, the counters, the floor, and all over Taylor's shirt and face.  The rest of the night he spent in one of my Dad's shirts, haha.

Family Dinner!

After the feast we gathered round the piano and sang songs.
Dad and Taylor had fun singing tons of old songs.  It was hilarious.
This picture is hilarious because of my pose.  "Oh, Taylor!  Always serenade me!"

Gum Paste Snowman

I am in the process of making my first fondant cake with Taylor and the help of Taylor's mom who makes them for weddings and parties.
Cake batter made and cooked, filling spread, icing applied and smoothed with a paper towel, gum paste molded. Fondant yet to be applied!
The making of leaves with gum paste.  No I am not a professional grade photographer so my thumb in in the picture.
Our cute gum paste snowman complete with a gum paste carrot nose!
This past week I've:
Received an engraved rock from our trip to the quarry
What do good boyfriends do?  They engrave rocks for you that they stole from the location of the last date.  Cute.  He got a kiss #withgiggles
 Went to Gilgal Garden

All the rocks carved by one man

Funny foot pose!
Lantern flower! Reminds me of Taiwan

There were nice sayings carved into all the foot stones

Visited the LDS Visiting Center where the Christus is

Had to partake of this bad boy a couple times (mostly because my boy takes my breath away <--haha)

 Orientation for my new job!
