Family Weekend

For my Dad's birthday, he, my mom, sister, Oma Yvette and Gpa Jack came up to celebrate a long weekend.
It was the first time my family got to see our new home and plus, we had to walk down the street to Great Gma Sara's old home.

And because it was so hot, we had to stop at a popular nearby snow cone place: Bob's Brainfreeze.

Then we went on a hike to the Temple Quarry.

And Taylor got to show us his work at the Utah Lyons Eye Bank.

On Sunday we celebrated my Dad's birthday with gifts and a birthday cake.

And the best thing about making a cake, is sneaking some icing!

 Happy Birthday, Dad!

Taylor has the gift to see into the future. He was doing his best to express his thoughts in picture.

The whole family got to participate in the fun. Even the grand-daughter Tannin.

We also had fun showing everyone our backyard amenities:
All the fruit picking, hammock sitting, lizard cuddling fun.
And it was fun to show my family how to use our nifty fruit grabber:
The Claaaaaw! The claw is our master. The claw chooses who will go and who will stay.

That was so fun to read and see all the pics! We really did have a good time together! Dad felt so much love and care from you all! I think that birthday card is so cool with the drawing of Dad in retirement! You guys are such talented and funny artists! Dad has your Snickers bag at work and will think of you with each delicious bite! You guys are so sweet! Hope you have another great week, especially in Arizona! Send us some sun in Alaska! Dad and I are looking forward to seeing Alaska next week like you guys! We aren't nearly as adventurous as you guys, but it will be fun to see! I am most looking forward to the whale watching expedition and just seeing what Alaska looks like in general. Hope we get some sunny weather and can see the beautiful mountains and glaciers clearly. Hope we can have some fun stuff to tell you when we get back too! Love you guys! Mom

Great pictures to remind me of a fun weekend. Thanks. I have your snickers candy in my San Francisco office. I enjoy a few each lunch time to remind me of the fun weekend. Love, Dad
