For my 26th birthday, Taylor got the day off when his boss told him not to come in since she was sick. So we got to spend all the morning together (except for my dentist appointment.)
I made Taylor go to Five Guys for my birthday lunch!
And then he lovingly made me my current fave dinner: Chicken Tiki Masala!
The next day my coworker surprised me with some birthday flowers, a balloon, and some brownies!
And I used my new birthday work out gloves!
Taylor made even more favorite dinner treats!
Yes, we are weird and put broccoli on pizza....
Is it also weird that this is oat and wheat flour crust?
Well...IT'S DELICIOUS!
And Michelle made me this beautiful chocolate cake:
For Memorial Day weekend we went on a hike to Willow Heights in Big Cottonwood. On our way up I spotted a moose!

This was a first time seeing a moose together and it was very exciting, especially for Taylor! He made me watch for 30 minutes...And it was really cold and windy...But I loved it too! |
We used our new coal grill as well to make some burgers!
We also made an awesome bottle rocket for Scouts!
Sadly, I didn't get to see it fly because I was too sick to go to Scouts.
For Taylor's birthday he had to work while I tried to change my last name on my passport. Then when he got home we went to his favorite restaurant (Subway) and went to the movie theater to see the new X-Men. I felt really crummy and kept shivering and just thought I was feeling crummy because all my joint pains were acting up...well instead it was because I had a high fever! So this cute bum tucked me into bed early and gave me lots of tylenol even though it was his birthday!
I was happy that on Wednesday, I got to go home early from work so I could go get an antibiotic and Taylor's co-workers threw him a little sorbet birthday party.
Right now he's finally recovering the cornea and whole globes of deceased donors.
He's on-call three times a week for 12-hours, and responds to a case whenever death happens and the eyes are acceptable of donation. Last night he had 5 cases! Fun!!
The cornea after it's excised. |
You can watch the procedure Taylor does for corneal excision on this link. :)
