Taylor and I were lucky enough to have a few leftover miles to go to San Francisco to visit my parents for Father's Day!
We went to one of my parents' favorite places to eat right after they picked us up from the airport, Baha Fresh. |
And of course, Mom was all over the dessert!
Star chocolate cake! |
To work off all the dessert we went on a hike in Pleasanton Ridge called the Woodland Trail.
Hiking pole buddies. |
Part of the hike. |
We came back for dinner and Mom made one of my all time faves...Manicotti!
Sunday morning Taylor left early and drove home in our new car a 2009 Chevy Malibu from my parents! So we gave my Dad his Father's Day card early on Saturday night.
Complete with Taylor's original illustration. |
The rest of Sunday we spent in San Francisco while Taylor did all the hard work of driving the car home.
We went to China Town first.
Then strolled around the Palace of Fine Arts.
We walked around the pier after we ate In N Out and saw Pier 39 and then went over the the Golden Gate Park.
We found this little off shoot in Golden Gate Park called Shakespeare's Garden and we just relaxed in the shade for a while. |
On our way home to Dublin, we detoured to Treasure Island which is an old military base island.
We started Monday off right by sleeping in and then working out our muscles!
It was fun teaching my mom how to squat with proper form and do a bench press. |
Then we had fun exploring Dublin more and walking around my parents' neighborhood.
We even stopped to get an acai and pitaya bowl with bee pollen.
First time having bee pollen...haha! |
And I had to FaceTime TayTay once he got home from driving
And...this happened. Never leave Taylor alone with anything permanent and markable...
Tuesday morning Mom and I hopped onto the train and headed to San Francisco to my Dad's work.
We ate an early lunch at the bank's cafeteria.
And we walked around downtown for a bit.
The funny-shaped brown building is where my Dad has an office |
Happy Father's Day, Dad! It was great to spend time with you! |
It was a great extended weekend! Love being able to see my parents even though they live in another state!
