We had so much fun making an old Pioneer treat for one of my Relief Society lessons: Lumpy Dick!
Here's the recipe if anyone is interested:
Recipe for Lumpy Dick:
2) Beat 1 egg in small bowl, set aside
3) Put 3/4 Cup flour in a bowl with a touch of salt
4) Fold the beaten egg into the flour mixture. Let it be lumpy.
5) Add flour and egg mixture to milk and cook for 3-4 minutes
6) Serve with sugar and cinnamon to taste. (We did 2 tsp sugar, 1 TBLS of cinnamon)
(We add the sugar and cinnamon into the flour before we fold the egg in, but you can put it on top of the cooked dish instead.)
We also had a fun time teaching young boys about scouts and what to look forward to.
Our set up with all of Taylor's old cub scout badges! |
We also made a spin-off recipe of my Mom's Pineapple Meatballs.
We decided to make Pina-Colada Meatballs!
We made our own turkey meatballs and put shredded coconut and coconut oil in them. |
Delicious! Now just listen to this song while thinking of Pina-Colada meatballs. Click here |
And sometimes when I let Tannin out of her cage, I lose track of her and can't find her for a while. Luckily, her tail usually gives her away.
She hid under our dresser! |
Naughty...
And then fell asleep... |
There was a huge accident right outside our apartments one morning and Taylor got stuck in the traffic jam. Luckily, he called me so I could avoid it.
Once I got to work though I got a text from Taylor saying his tire exploded on the highway....
He had to pull off to the side and luckily a police car was only 5 minutes away so he could block traffic. |
Also, lucky Taylor stays calm and didn't flip his car.
We've also been celebrating Taylor graduating with his Bachelors Degree!
I even let Taylor attempt to do my hair (it ended up with me doing my hair per Taylor's artistic directions.)
We enjoyed Red Butte Gardens
Springtime blossoms!
And can't forget to feed the ducks and geese!
After Red Butte Garden, we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory with Taylor's parents who treated us to dinner. |
We've been trying to enjoy the spring weather as much as possible so we also went to Gilgal Gardens.
And we finally figured out this sculpture! "And their swords shall be turned into plowshares"-- tools to tame the earth. |
Alpha and Omega keystone arch. |
And we can't forget to let Tannin enjoy the nice weather either!
We also enjoyed "The Jungle Book" movie after Taylor took his last final. Since it's so popular we are making a green screen movie with our scouts too!

I can't get enough of Tannin! Too cute! Funny you caught her snoozing! Congrats to Taylor on his graduation with honors. Such a stud! What a lucky class gets the pioneer snack. Wish you were my teacher! Yum! Have another great week! Love you guys! Mom
Sounds like a great few days. Your pictures are fun and Tannin is really enjoying the good life. Love, Dad
