Yellowstone

For the weekend we went on a camping trip to Yellowstone.
Highlights:
It was a fun car trip up, and we listened to some books on tape.
This is us the day  before at the library getting books on tape
It started raining, then hailing, then snowing on our way up.
We saw clouds and mountains in the shapes of different things on our car trip.  This is the pig and alligator fighting...if only we knew these rain clouds would become snow clouds...
But we're still happy!

The cold snow/rain made the hot springs look way awesome and foggy

We set up camp in the snow and luckily got a fire going.

The night was freezing but still lots of fun.
I woke up to Taylor making me breakfast.

And Taylor tried to wear my pants.

We went on all the hikes around Yellowstone.
We saw the grand canyon.

A little lady had fallen and I went to go help to make sure she was okay on our way down Yellowstone to all the hot springs.
We saw a bunch of hot springs and geysers.
Smells like sulfur
Walking on the boardwalk trails to see all the many geysers, hot springs, mud pots, and steam vents

Fire Circle hot springs

All the heat loving bacteria like to make cool colors
Taylor of course picked a flower for me, haha
Old Faithful
Grand Prismatic Spring shadows
We stopped at Jackson Hole on the way to my grandparents.
We looked at the stars.
We walked around and pet their horses and skipped rocks.
We drove back home and had a picnic in a town by the highway.

Wow! Those are some totally awesome pics!!! What a fun time you had! Did Taylor bring a box of wood for the fire? I am glad you were able to get a fire going in spite of the rain, hail, and snow! Crazy weather! Grandma was so happy you got to enjoy camping like I did with my parents growing up! It is tons of fun! Taylor is a regular Eagle Scout! He kept you safe and warm even in the crazy storm! Looks so fun!!! I love how you post pics on the blog so Dad and I can read and see pics of your life! We love it! I was wondering if you could set your blog up like Carlie does so we can email from the blog comments, back and forth. I enjoy doing that and having "conversations" in a way. Glad you could see Grandpa Paul for Father's Day! We will have to go again since there is so much to see and do there. I know Taylor would love hiking Jenny Lake in the Tetons and going to Bar J Ranch for the cowboy dinner and musical comedy show. Too many fun things to do! :) Thanks for keeping me and Dad updated with texts, calls, blogs, emails, skype, etc. It is fun to still be a part of your lives. Love you! Mom
