Gecko babies

Smaug adores jumping.
The video isn't working but he can jump almost a foot.
His front right paw is growing some nail claws back so he can climb.  When we bought him, the tips of his right paw had  fallen off from a bad shedding at the pet store :(
He also loves watching us.  It is so funny to watch his head move as we move.  He usually wins the staring contests.
He is watching Taylor study…keeping him in-line for mama who likes when Taylor studies and doesn't get distracted.

Mango loves to eat.

And she likes to hide...

<no picture>
We can't find her!

The pretty babies

Christmas time in the city

We have been counting down to Christmas Taylor's favorite way.
Our favorite part is comparing the chocolate pictures and who got a better picture.  Unfortunately, these were on our stove and melted when I made dinner.  But we have since put them in the freezer and most chocolates have remolded to their original shapes.
We've had lots of snow.
And Taylor loves sliding in it!
And writing me messages in it before getting the snow off our cars.

Inside our igloo car.
We went on a walk in the neighborhood across the street in 6 inches of snow.
Taylor doesn't have snow boots, so occasionally I'd try to walk in front so he could step in my prints and not get his ankles and toes frozen….it didn't last long because he "couldn't hold my hand."
We followed a star and found it up high in a huge pine tree.

We went to Temple Square and downtown SLC to see the lights
And Taylor threw snow on himself

We walked here last year when we were dating and revisited the place.
And it was seriously cold.

The real meaning of Christmas
Again, it was seriously cold.
Taylor went window shopping
This is the present he left me.

Super Saturday

We had so much fun going to see these boys' baptism on Saturday.  Such a bunch of cuties.
Paxton, Will, JD, and Savannah

We went out to lunch with Carlie before she left for the airport

And Taylor's hair...

Black Friday

Taylor and his family love Black Friday, so Taylor wanted to take me this year.  I was very hesitant at first because I thought most people were rude and obnoxious on Black Friday, but because we went to Petco, Old Navy, and Hobby Lobby it wasn't bad and we got some nice deals.

Our first stop was Old Navy Thursday night
We woke up bright and early Friday after sleeping 4 hours to make sure we got our favorite present this year…Babies!

The new tank and digs for the geckos

Their names are Mango and Smaug.  We had them named Carat and Diamond at first, but since Diamond is obviously a boy and has attitude, we didn't think it worked.  And since we weren't going with Diamond, Carat wasn't cute enough.
Mango had to get a bath and her old skin removed because she was too dry at Petco.  This picture is adorable.

Smaug getting dead skin from his paws removed.
Friday night my parents and sister came over bringing pizza and ice cream so we let them in.  They had fun holding the geckos.

My parents took a picture of us by our tree and then we took them to where I work and where we go every Sunday for church now.

Thanksgiving 2013

We had Thanksgiving at my parents with my sister who came up from Texas.  Carlie and Mom made most the meal since Taylor and I were in SLC.  But I made a pie and Taylor made rolls.  Taylor and I also tried to yodel on the drive up….we will continue to practice.

Taylor's huge rolls

First time making pecan pie

After dinner, we went and saw Hunger Games 2 with my family and Taylor made me a origami swan

We made sure to stop by Taylor's parents and watched part of Home Alone with them and DeMarie.
